Delete Your Account

🗑️How to request deletion

You can start deletion right in the app: open Settings → Delete my account, confirm the prompt, and you'll land on this page to finish. Prefer email? You can also request deletion directly:

Email privacy@kaptr.app with the subject line "Delete my Kaptr account"
Include the email address, or sign-in method (currently Google), associated with your account so we can verify it's you
We'll confirm by reply once your account and data have been deleted — within 30 days of your request

📋What gets deleted

Once your request is processed, we permanently delete:

Your Kaptr sign-in identity (Firebase Authentication record)
Your profile: display name, email address, and profile photo URL
Your gameplay data: streaks, scores, per-day score history, and feedback text
Your Quest passport progress (which slots you've stamped — species names only, never photos)
Your friend connections and friend codes
Your participation in any private contests, including round scores
Your push notification device tokens

Reminder: your captured photos are never stored anywhere in the first place (see our Privacy Policy), so there's nothing to delete on that front.

💳What's retained

Subscription and purchase records for Kaptr Plus or contest credits are managed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and our subscription provider (RevenueCat) as part of their own billing and financial record-keeping, so we don't control or delete those directly. If you'd also like those records removed, you'll need to contact Apple's or Google's own support channels for their retention policies.
